What is Mauri Ora?
Mauri Ora is a training programme that equips akonga (students) to work with whanau, hapu, iwi in a uniquely kaupapa Maori way by providing effective interventions (particularly in areas of domestic violence, addiction, suicide, para-suicide, mental health, counselling and supervision).  Mauri Ora helps akonga to develop their own solutions when dealing with issues that arise within whanau, hapu, iwi, based on an understanding of Maori culture and using those cultural principals to work on transformative outcomes.

The training overview outlines the 3 levels of Te Manatu Mâori Tuku Tohu and the programmes associated with each level.

We are currently updating the Training Programme Overview booklet, please contact the office.
